Road Race running round Knockhill Racing track tonight 7.30pm

The race is 3.9 miles and involves three complete circuits of the racing track.  This unique event is held in memory of Carnegie Harriers former President and club coach who very sadly past away in 2003.  This race has been held every year since 2004 and has proved to be very popular with everyone who takes part.  All entries (£4/£6) are on the night and there will be awards in all categories. £1 from every entry will be donated to charity.

Fantastic and the best of the year turnout for a Wed Night 14 & 10 Pics included

A hugh thank you to the usual die hards and a few people how came along last night. A small apology to the first class because to the extra bodies the two mini circuit’s didn’t run as smoothly as they should have looking back l knew where I could have changed it/improved it.

Needless to say it was great to see a load of activity and banter in the classes.  The aim of the class was one half of work the Core Muscles the other get back to using the Bar Bells/Dumbells to get the arms working, I’m sure for the regulars on a Mon, Fri classes(Matted Sessions) know that they are toughening up in the shoulder joint regions.

Training today

Wanted for a longer run today at a lesser intensity pace wise so the Lomonds Hills race with the slide down on the bum down the final desend sounded the motivation I needed.

Last couple of days concentrated on the lesser distances for the Graham Clark Race next Thursday with sessions on the track with Stasistion John Wanes directing me alongside his loyal groupon the road so today I couldn’t bear it much longer so took the trip up to familar terrority East and West Lomond. Although I know the hills pretty well and the weather was great apart from a strong wind coming back home I never knew the path of the course, pretty stupid of me but hey that’s life.

I wasn’t sure what I was letting myself in for, would I have the legs to climb, would I last? I did just but it was torture, my arse is still raw from the slide down the hill click HERE then go to Lomond Hill race to see previous years videos.

Race results can be found HERE

I could only use this as a training run as the longest I have run in 10 weeks has been 6miles due to the New Born, but hey gotta start somewhere looking forward to the rest of the year for races and to get some good hard training done.
