Tommy’s Tales Tuesday 21st July

Maryann and I had an appointment with Forth Park’s Hip Clinic, the reason, every baby girl who is born overdue, have it the past been susceptible to hip problems. Baby Isla got checked out and everything was ok however a further appointment in mid August shall be required.

On our way back we thought we would go into Specialist Cars, Halbeath where we get our Touran Serviced to get a door lock looked at and Maryann had been itching for a different car. We’ve have two Tourans now which have been absolutely brilliant however it wouldn’t harm for a wee look round. Well we started at midday and never left until half one. Then we had to go back at 5 and came back out at 7, I missed my training then the Lightening came!

I had always been keen on the Volkswagen Passat Estate, but mileage and price were the same as what we had with our Touran. We then had a wee look at an Audi which  was registered the same year as ours but with half the mileage, we had a look inside and I was fascinated with all the toys and we both love the look of it we both loved it and on impulse had to have it, here is a picture of it, we shall trade our Touran in we should have the newer car on Monday at the class. Know what they say new baby new car hopefully not new husband!

Stats from Monday night working on them now!

9 Circuiteers at Friday’s session

Many thanks to: Simon, Lynne & Russell Kuz, Stevie King, Gerry Seydak, Sharon McKenzie, Dave Mazzoni, Graham Birse & Mike Valente for turning out for our Twin Mini Circuit last night.

The session was broken down into 2 small circuits divided by barriers across half the room, we had 5 stations on each side and every station would last 2mins instead of the normal minute to a minute and a half, the recovery was 30 secs, the duration for the session was 45 mins, all feedback has been positive so far I’m keen to hear how everybody feels over the weekend  as this has been the first time I have done a session like this.

Monday 13th July(Tommy’s Tales)

This morning done my 9th session from a planned 10 at a Local Dunfermline Private Nursery. I take 20-30 pre school children and set up 2-3, 30 minute fitness and skill activities on a weekly basis, this session normally takes place on a Wednesday morning however the wee ones are having their end of year Graduation day on Wednesday so I came in today instead as they shall be mega busy.

Had a chat with the nurseries Deputy Manageress who said they are pretty  keen to keep the activity sessions going after the 10th, as the kids love it!  So that’s good news for me too!

Came back to the house about midday and organised with a good friend to get our hugh mirror up in the living room which had been lying for 2 weeks  and a radiator that Lewis broke off the wallabout the same time, so both are now secured to the wall and I have I think massive brownie points into the bargain!

Maryann is feeling a bit low as the wee one is pretty demanding on her, feeding wise so I’m keen to do as much as I can to help out, she has been through a lot like all post natal woman this last few weeks.

Now getting ready for the classes this evening then getting back for an early night, Maryann and I were up at 1, 4.30 and 7.30 this morning.  Running/own training has took a battering so hope to get back to it soon!

Tommy’s Tales

Has a few appointments from home today but mainly it’s just been a low key family day.  Maryann’s Mum had been looking after our two boys but Granny and the boys with Maryann’s younger sister Gemma travelled up from Glasgow, so it was the first time that the four of them got to see their new baby.

Our oldest daughter Yasmin(18) has been working from 8 this morning and finishing at 6 tonight so when she returns it shall be the first time that the Whole 6 Lawrence’s shall be united for the first time ever!

9 Pictures of Baby L now uploaded & can be viewed by clicking on the Picture gallery

DSC01215 DSC01228

Mum and daughter were given the ok from the Doctor’s late Friday afternoon which was a great relief to mummy as she  told me she hardly slept a wink for the noise in the ward by another Mother.  After a comprehensive going over by the mid wife’s, mum and baby we were free to go after she had a feed.

The experience in Forth Park from entry to departure and everything inbetween had been fantastic we couldn’t have had better staff!!!!!!!

It was great to get the wee one home so we can really start to appreciate her, she has been very good so far, sleeping for 4 hours then waking up ready for a feed, so, so far so good.

Yasmin our eldest daughter has fallen in love with her so were glad our two boys are still with Granny in Glasgow or else we would never get a hold. Thanks to Gail, Lynsay, Craig, Steven, Simon and Lynne for coming round and all the nice gifts and everybody that has wished the Family well we appreciate your kindness!

Getting back to Business, everything goes back to normal tomorrow Sunday for appointments and classes however I have been told that Mon 20th July the all Community Centre’s in Fife shall be closed so we may be on the beach that night or at another venue, watch this space.

Baby Girl!!!!!!Class off Tonight. Beach Still on tomorrow!

We are very proud to announce this morning that after 5 hours of intense Labour Maryann delivered a beautiful baby Girl at 12Min’s past 10 last night! The wee one weighted in at 8lbs 2 and a quarter ounces, there was no complications so we expect Maryann to be out today!

Maryann was booked into Forth Park yesterday and because the head had no engaged she was given a gel to get things moving. Because of this she was kept in overnight the following day, yesterday when she woke up she was given another but the wee one was still happy where it was.  By late afternoon still no major moves to by 4.30pm Maryann was put on a drip to increase the natural hormone.  An hour in and contractions were happening every two and a half minutes at 50% intensity, as time went on the natural intensity started to kick in, you can imagine and from 7 o’clock onwards if was unrelenting.

The staff at Forth Park were absoulutely first class, nothing was if a bother and they knew what to do when to do it I couldn’t fault them well maybe I could have had more toast post birth!

But a great experience Maryann was magnificent and I hope to be able to get them both out today! Oh and by the way I could not believe what we were having I could see this big head of black hair then when the wee one came out the Midwife said “well what have you got” and like a prat I was looking at the cord and thought A BOY, she said NO, what then I looked again, Could not believe it, Fabulous I’m over the Moon, I’m so Happy!!!!  I would like to thank you all for all your support and well wishes and I’ll see if I can get some pictures put up!

Tonight I’m going to Cancel the Class to Spend some time with the girls so if anyone would like to come round they would be more than welcome.

I’m still planning on doing the Beach Session tomorrow 10am at Aberdours Silver Sands.

Classes shall be on as normal next week.
