Maddy Moss Recce on Saturday 12th July 3.30pm

Myself and Stevie King were due to meet Richie Cunningham for some Hill training on Saturday afternoon up the Moss. Richie had been out for a good couple of hours before us, when we met up with him he was keen to let us go ourselves, he said he was burst he had already ran 19 miles and probably a good few thousand feet of climbing in him at this stage.  So myself and Stevie went onwards ourselves after chatting to Richie for 5-10 minutes.

 p7120778.JPGp7120777.JPGp7120779.JPG

The initial climb of 400 meters is pretty hard once your up go along a flattish part before heading down into the dangerous river crossing, then the climbing really happens until you get to the Law, you bypass this into some boggy ground(Maddy Moss) then you turn up to the Cleugh which is a wee bit of a climb then when you go round here you double back on yourself towards Andrew Gannel, off Andrew Gannel heading towards Kings Seat then when you get to the bottom of Kings Seat instead of climbing this which you would if you were doing the Dollar Hill race you turn right down the track which is pretty flat to a decend, due the gradient you are really starting to fly with a very narrow track so if your imbalanced you could get hurt here.  At this point you have around 15minutes to the finish, which is a bit technical!

Good Luck to all who do it on Wednesday, I shall miss it due to work/doing the Circuit Class and having Mull on Saturday!

Pictures of the Recce are on Picture Gallery!

90 min’s running.

A brilliant 17 at Friday nights Class!!!!!

Fantastic turnout by you guys again, thanks to Maryann, Simon & Lynne Kuz, Stevie King, Paul McPherson, Gerry & Ronan Seydak, Malcolm Weir & Smith, Ryan McKenzie, Julie Howe, Elaine & Graham Birse, Stewart Ollis, Val McAulay, Ricky and Mark Connelly.

A wee change in tactics, the circuit divided into two groups, first group focused on small tasks within the shuttles.  The other group had 8 different stations some with the same exercise other stations with 2-3 different exercises to perform everytime you got to that particular station, with more activities to keep you busy thus less photo’s taken and more directing and pointing from myself, at lease you weren’t bored, you were kept on your feet!  Thanks for turning out, have a great weekend and see you Monday!!!

 Pictures to follow!
