Re-scheduled plans

Had 2 appointments booked in this morning 1015 then 1215 with the boys off to school and Isla into nursery with a brisk 3 mile walk back from Couston Street to make the 1015.

I text the appointment at 8 to make sure there were still coming to receive a text back that they had a problem at 6pm the previous night. So this messed up my training time which was suppose to be at 2-5pm, with Maryann picking up the boys from Cross Country after schools club.

So set off at 9.30 after catching up with Robert in the Public Park to prove a half mile route that I done yesterday.

Apologises to everyone who turned up at Queenshall last night!

Apologises for not being at last night’s classes, Wed 19th Class.  As I have said to most people who I tried to phone before 5 & 6 o’clock I have a family situation.

The nuts and bolts of what happened was that, I was seeing my 2 o’clock appointment away from the house an elderly man, I asked the gentleman if I could reverse his car out which he agreed.  I had his keys in my mouth and my own keys in my hand alongside Isla who I was trying to put in my car.

As I strapped Isla into her seat she went to grap the keys that were in my mouth.  I stupidly exchanged the keys to give her my cars then I proceeded to close the door with Isla and the keys inside completely unaware to it’s potential consequences.

I then done the business with the customers car to then hear my car alarm going off. My faced just drained of blood, Isla had pressed the close button on the remote.

Needless to say we had tried to get her to press the open button to no avail and we couldn’t find the spare key in the house which was turned upside down. Simon Kuz was also great in getting Cameron from the school and helping with the situation.

I must confess Colin Reynoulds was brilliant he was just finishing off in Dundee and rushed down the road to get Isla out which he did after 10minutes of arriving at the house.  Needless to say wee Isla had been in the car for 3 hours.

So again sorry for last night, everything is back t normal today, whatever normality is!

T’s Tales Wed 9th Dec

The boys got sorted for school, we were running a bit late, but thankfully so was the bus, after major detours we finally got to St Margaret’s, 25minutes late, Isla had her normal full day in Nursery, in Couston Street I wouldn’t have believed it, but the streets round there are absolutely terrible.

Hannah had said we have phoned the council several times about the it but to date nothing, there is an old folks home on the same street, Hannah also mentioned her Commercial waste is over flowing, so you can imagine all they nappies.  The council’s  cheek, they have dramatically increased Business Rates for Nurseries within the last year too.

Ran the 3miles back home via the boys school.  Paperwork updated then 2pm out to run to Crossford, brilliant in the snow! As pictures show(bottom of the Coal Road)

daily pictures 101210 005 daily pictures 101210 004 daily pictures 101210 002 daily pictures 101210 001

Maryann picked back up at half four, Isla picked up 3miles away for Nursery in case we got stuck boys picked up from Guitar, no football for the boys cancelled due to the weather so we had a nice wee family tea time no appointments in,nice.

Dunfermline’s Road’s

Just out taking the kids to school and the roads are bloody murder, where the hell are the gritters, surely they should be constantly on the road.

It seems the only time you see them are when the conditions are getting milder.

Anyway managed to get the boys in to school.

Sorry about not being able to do the class last night we had a load of people spread to the winds, on the roads and unable to get home in time, Maryann was delayed at work and never got home until 8pm last night.

With the temperatures being minus 13 we have kept the boys off school we advised the school based on Safety concerns.

Sunday we got back to some kind of Normality

It was great to see the sun for the second day on the trot. Maryann had orgainsed a wee run out with Circuiteer Lynne Kuz from 9am, when she got back we ventured off to Church.  As she was at Church I got up to Townhill Woods for a delightful 30minutes of tramping in a fine trail which has been made right the way round by the dog walkers.

Up at the Police HQ roundabout it was manic with cars trying to get up to the Kingsgate Car Park.

Lynne kindly looked after our kids for a few hours to allow myself & Maryann to get into Tesco to do some slighly stresser free shopping.

I had to run back to the house at 2pm for the start of my appointments at 2.30 as Maryann had to wait in 2 queues, she never got home until 3.30.

It was good for me to get back to work with 3 appointments.

Mobile Communications Restored, you can now call or text as well as email!

My phoned was picked up yesterday and taken away hopefully to be fixed, in this day and age we and others depend so much on our phone which is sad but true.

Many thanks to Simon Kuz, Patrick Leask & Christine Campbell who have offered me their old phones as a stop gap, much appreciated.

    Things very rushed this week

Sorry Guys I’ve still not put up your pictures and videos from last Saturday, they shall not been done today either I’m afraid and tomorrow is even busier.

Since Yasmin’s been in hospital from Monday night, yesterday Maryann went into work but was excused to go down and see her.  I took the car and Isla across to the Gyle in Edinburgh around 1030, I left the car with her and I ran the 12.5miles back home via Kirkliston  I had an hour then I was busy with appointments from 2-6pm got  a wee break, then I had a late appointment from 9-10.30pm.

This morning has been spent down at Camdean Primary School in Rosyth, I was  working beside the NHS Nurses from 9am-12pm taking 42 Primary 1′s on 30mins of exercise while the other half of the class gets their height & weight checked talking about a healthy heart and teeth.

Maryann is still is Glasgow with Isla visiting Yasmin in hospital so I’ve no car to get to the classes tonight worse case scenerio is that I need to get a Taxis down there.

    Tommy Tales

Like everybody the last 24hours have been very very busy!

3pm yesterday headed down to Glasgow to catch up with our daughter Yasmin and to see her flat and drop off her Lap Top it was a chance to see her  Flat for the 1st time, less said here the better, Mum not at all happy.

To lighten the mood we took her out to a wee Spanish restaurant just along her road which was great to have all the family out together!  Nice meal then after saying our good byes it was over to Renfrew and Paisley to drop in on Maryann’s two  sisters, Francis and Gemma, we finally left Glasgow at midnight getting back home at 1.15am.

Sunday morning, the plan was to get up and away early for a run but after last night’s late one and yesterday half in 1.22 both were still playing on me, it was great to get a wee lie in, next week shall be the last early morning rise as we go on a week’s break to Aviemore after the Beach session.

Been off to church from 11-12, a wee shop and Maryann is currently out with Lynne Kuz who competed for Carnegie Harriers at yesterday’s East District Relay Championships at Preston Pans coming in a credibly 3rd the mens’s vet team 2nd.

2 appointments today at 4.30 & 8.30pm a 10-13 miler to be fitted in as soon as Maryann gets back.
