A lot of Ciruciteers there last night especially a few from our Saturday Beach Session.
Stevie King, speaking to him after the race, he felt as if he actually raced the circuit this year as in the past he has been suffering with constant niggles. Gail Murdoch used the race as a warm up before her 100k this Saturday.
John Fulham ran well, Pete Brown who had a ding dong with Carnegie’s Claire Howie. Claire came along with Saturday regular Mairiann who had done really well and completed the 3 laps last night with a wee smile crossing the line.
Other entrants were Beacons runner Patrick Leask, Fife’s AC’s Sue Whisler & Kinross’s Chris Mysercroft. One very proud Lorna Mackenzie at her husband Steve Mackenzie who completed the course effortlessly, finishing his first ever race. Well done, Stevie! And well done to all who participant.
Some pictures from Knockhill shall be uploaded soon!

Sue ran this 35.5 miler on Saturday, one of her motivations was that if she broke 7hrs she would have an automatic qualification into the http://www.comrades.com/ Comrades Marathon which opens for entries from 1st-30th September.
After completing the race we learned that the race was half a mile further than expected, so she still might get in depending on authentication from her and others GPS watches, watch this space.
Sue after finishing her race on Saturday!

Just looked at the Dunfermline Press where my clock has been registered for the 2nd week running, managed 13th and my time was in the 74min bracket which is the quickest time I have done since doing the same when I received my Elite entry at Edinburgh Marathon in 2008 which we went on to break 2.40 that year.

Very well done to Judith Dobson who helped Kinross Road runners who organised the Loch Leven event to win by 1 point the ladies team prize.
Meanwhile losing out by that 1 point were Carnegie’s Gail Murdoch and Claire Howie.

A brilliant race which is also in doubt next year as the organiser Bill Ellis who has been voted in again as the local MP/MSP has commented that he may be over committed for next year, I have potentially thrown in my name to keep the race going rather than it dissolving. I had a brilliant day like so many other runners…..just perfect apart from getting beat from the oldies!!!!

Great day for the Carnegie harriers…….Scott Bradley won the indivdual race with wee Ritchie Cunningham just being pipped into 3rd, Scott clocked 3hrs for the 24mile course 1 minute outside the course record!
