Stevie King 1st Carnegie Harrier home in Ben Venue Hill Race at the weekend.
Stevie always gives himself tonnes of time to get to races however thanks to his Sat Nav he was gifted the scenic route which left him virtually no time for a proper warm up. This being said he came in 60th in a time of 93.18.

Young Starlet and Regular Saturday morning Beach Trainer Connor Morris Excells in Edinburgh and Wins Highland Games titles!
Conor 4th in the BUPA jinior 2.5k run did it in 8,56 secs
He has also won the Scottish and the Fife highland games titles again this year!

Regular Circuiteer Gail Murdoch gets a Gold, Silver & Bronze at Loch Ness Marathon, covering the course in 3hrs 9mins!
Gail was 3rd Lady Overall, 2nd Vet & was in the Ladies Winning Team alongside fellow Carnegie Harriers Morna Fleming & Isobell Barnet.

2 New attenders at the session last night, thanks to Ian & Patrick! Hard session last night 3x15min efforts with 45sec on 15 secs off
The layout last night was 15 stations, a third of which were for the abdominals. Judy Turner who has recently started the Wed sessions brought her boyfriend Ian for a blast, I think Ian found it challenging, they are off next week due to commitments in the Lake District but plan to be back the following.
Malcolm was suffering from a stomach upset but still managed to adapt the abdominal exercises to finish the session, Niall was a wee bit under par especially on his least favourite exercise on the stage with the pull ups.
Bill Norman who has been coming regularly on the Wednesday’s for 4 months is getting stronger by the week, well done Bill!
Martin McNellis with Eileen has been one of our most regular attenders, Martin has been extending his running in the last 4-6months to the extend that he excelled at the weekend by getting a PB of 42.15 All results
Good to see Patrick Leask for the first time at the Wednesday’s, he commented at the end that he can run a marathon but found the Circuit Harder, I did explain that Bill Norman was in the exact same place just a few months ago and both agreed that he has came on leaps and bounds!
Good Luck to Niall Russell, Bill Norman, Gail Murdoch, Stevie King & Peter Brown who have confirmed their doing East Neuk 10k on Sunday, which is a mixed terrain flat out and back course, you can enter on the day from 1015am at Waid Academy or just now on http://www.entrycentral.com/index.php?raceID=100623 online entries close midnight tomorrow!

2 New Starts at our Monday night Class Audrey Davies & Angela Brown, Judy Turner joining us tomorrow night at 5.45pm
Both are spouses of prominent runners for the Beacon & Carnegie Harriers!
New edition to the Wednesday night class is Judy Turner who is also a prominent female runner for Carnegie, recently winning the ladies race at Aberdour’s Donkey Brae!

Class tonight should be in Dalgety Bay, a final check before full conformation shall be done today.

My intention today is to go down and speak to the owners to check that everything is good to go, once this is done and both parties are happy then I shall come back and update the website accordingly.
Normal class timings 5.45 & 7pm.
I plan to have the format a bit like the Wednesday class with a view that I shall stay away from a complete Matted Class in the short term. There shall be always matted exercises in the classes however Monday & Wednesday’s shall have some resistance, I.E Weights in it!
From September I shall take out Friday night Circuit Class out as it’s probably more cost effective for me to do more Massage appointments as there normally demand by runners for a last minute treatment before a weekend race.
